How to Remove Gum From a Child’s Hair

Many parents have to deal with having a child getting gum stuck in the hair. Before you immediately cut it out try this quick tip:

Choose creamy peanut butter, vegetable oil or olive oil and cover the gum completely. You can rub the substance on the hair with your hands or a clean toothbrush. Make sure the entire patch of gum is covered. Wait a few minutes and the gum should be less sticky and easier to remove by hand from the hair. When most of the gum is out wash the hair normally to remove any left over residue.
