Tips for the Best Face Shave

Are you experiencing razor bumps and burns with your morning shave? Try these top tips for getting the best face shave:

1. A great time to shave is after a shower when the skin and facial hair are still wet and will be free of excess oil and dead skin cells that can clog the razor blade.
2. Apply a shaving cream on the face and let it sit for two to three minutes.
3. Help prevent razor bumps by shaving in the direction the hair grows.
4. With each shave swipe make sure to rinse the razor.
5. After shaving rinse your face with cool water and apply a moisturizer to help close the pores and trap water in your skin.
6. Apply a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to protect the skin.

If you are using these tips and still getting razor bumps try switching razors—for some a multi-blade razor works and for others a single blade works better.
