SMD proudly introduces the newest member of our team, board-certified PA (physician assistant) Julia Parker. She joins SMD with more than 10 years of experience in general medical and surgical dermatology, and we could not be more excited for you to meet her!

Her Education & Experience:
Julia Parker, MPAS, PA-C received her Bachelor of Science magna cum laude in biology from Catawba College in Salisbury, North Carolina. In 2011, she earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Midland, Texas.
PA Parker has been practicing medicine since 2012 at private dermatology practices in southern California. She specializes in General and Surgical Dermatology, treating patients of all ages. She takes pride in customizing treatment plans for each individual based on her extensive clinical experience and knowledge of the latest advancements in dermatology.
Her Passion & Philosophy:
PA Parker became interested in dermatology as a teenager after receiving treatment as a patient herself. Science and biology came easily, making her desired career path a natural fit. A lifelong learner, PA Parker’s passion stems from sharing her knowledge with patients. She thrives while educating her patients on preventative measures and various treatment modalities. PA Parker believes patients truly appreciate when they can learn something new!
PA Parker’s patient care philosophy is to treat all patients like family. She believes we can all live healthier, happier lives, and it starts with education and self-care.
Her Life & Hobbies:
PA Parker’s hobbies include tennis and hiking with her husband and her labradoodle, Duke. She moved to the SF Bay area in 2022 and is excited to develop roots and explore the natural beauty of this gorgeous place!
