SMD’s exclusive products will protect your skin via a broad-spectrum sunscreen, which contains antioxidants.
- SMD’s Sheer Physical Sunscreen 50+ Spray protects your skin with a broad-spectrum UVA and UVB SPF 50+ coverage. Not only does this sunscreen offer pure physical protection with antioxidants, it is also water resistant for up to 40 minutes! It is specially formulated with Green Tea Polyphenols, Resveratrol and Vitamin C among other antioxidants to protect your skin from burning. It is oil, fragrance, color and paraben free—meaning no chemicals at all! Last but not least, this sunscreen has 12% zinc oxide and is non-comedogenic. It comes in a 4 oz spray bottle, making it easy to apply for adults and kids. $38.00.
- SMD’s Sheer Physical Sunscreen 50+ is nearly identical to the sunscreen listed above, except that it comes in a 2 oz bottle (great for travel!) and is a cream, not a spray. It also contains a little more zinc oxide at 13.75%. $29.00.
- SMD’s Antioxidant Moisturizing Sunscreen SPF 50+ is an amazing 3-in-1 product! It contains a moisturizer, antioxidants and SPF. This physical blocker has 6% micronized zinc oxide and is also paraben-free. The special formulation offers many benefits to the skin in addition to broad-spectrum protection, like activated Vitamin E, Green Tea Polyphenols and caffeine that neutralizes free radical skin damage. The 4 fl oz sunscreen has a slight tan color from the green tea ingredients—great for evening out the skin tone! $45.00.
At SMD’s boutique, you can also choose from EltaMD sunscreens. You can only find these products through dispensing physicians. Like SMD’s own sunscreens, they all contain zinc oxide and are paraben-free. Here’s a breakdown of each one we carry.
- EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 works for those who are prone to acne, rosacea and hyperpigmentation. This oil-free formulation helps calm sensitive skin while protecting. It contains 9.0% zinc, Vitamin B3 and both hyaluronic and lactic acids, which promote skin health. The antioxidants inside this sunscreen helps absorb free radicals and comes packed inside a 1.7 oz bottle with an airless pump.

- EltaMD UV Sport Broad-Spectrum SPF 50 works for all skin types. This sunscreen is water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, and won’t rinse off or drip into your eyes and sting them when you sweat! It contains 9.0% zinc and antioxidants to help absorb free radicals. Comes in either a 3 oz tube, or 7 oz airless pump.
- EltaMD UV Aero Broad-Spectrum SPF 45 also works for all skin types. It comes in a 6 oz continuous spray bottle without nasty chemicals to help you cover those hard-to-reach places. This sunscreen sprays on white so you can see coverage, but dries clear and is water-resistant for up to 80 minutes. Contains 9.3% zinc oxide.

Make sure you’re applying sunscreen to your entire body if you will be at the beach or hiking this summer, and at least 30 to 60 minutes before going out in the sun—don’t forget to reapply throughout the day!
