Elisabeth Novak, MS, PA-C  joined Southern Marin Dermatology in 2019 with over 8 years of medical and cosmetic Dermatology experience. As a board-certified physician assistant, she had the unique opportunity to participate in a residency in Dermatology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New England, and now carries the distinction of Diplomat Fellow with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Always a passionate learner, she earned Magna Cum Laude status and the Baccalaureate award in her undergraduate studies of Biology and Chemistry. She completed her Masters degree in Science and Physician Assistant studies with Alpha Eta Honors at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston. The first 5 years of her career were spent training and practicing at Dartmouth, eventually transitioning to private practice to round out her time in New England before moving to Sausalito in 2019.

PA Novak has a passion for teaching as well as learning. This is reflected in her approach with patients, always focusing on educating the patient about their condition to help them understand and feel comfortable with their health and the treatments available to them. She makes sure no regimen is cookie-cutter, but rather works with her patients to tailor treatments that suit the individual to achieve successful outcomes. PA Novak considers it a privilege and a pleasure to be able to get to know her patients well in the process.

The training PA Novak received has lent her to have a particular interest in diagnosing and treating contact dermatitis and other forms of eczema. She studied under one of the lead contributing Doctors of the North American Contact Dermatitis Society, instilling in her an excellent understanding of complex skin allergies.

An artist at heart, PA Novak also has a particular interest in cosmetics, including injectables, and laser treatment. She uses these tools and technologies with the care and precision of a painter with a paintbrush to yield beautiful, natural, composed results for her patients.

PA Novak spent her formative years in Maryland horse country and New York, but always found time to come to Northern California where she has family roots. PA Novak enjoys the outdoors, running, boating, and snowboarding in particular, music, food and wine, and watercolor painting, making her home of Sausalito a perfect fit!
