Meet Stephanie Cullinane, PA-C
Stephanie Cullinane, PA-C joined Southern Marin Dermatology in 2025 after 24 years of practicing medical and cosmetic dermatology in Mill Valley. Known for her thoughtful, thorough care, PA Stephanie has built a thriving practice rooted in word-of-mouth referrals and lasting relationships with patients and families throughout Marin. She is now seeing patients at our Sausalito office.
PA Stephanie is a nationally certified physician assistant, a Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She brings deep clinical experience and a warm, attentive presence to every patient interaction. Her approach is especially valued by patients seeking thoughtful guidance in both medical and cosmetic dermatology.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Smith College and completed her physician assistant training at the Stanford University School of Medicine in 2000. Before entering clinical practice, she led reproductive health programs focused on advocacy, education, and whole-person care. These values continue to shape her thoughtful, relationship-centered approach to dermatology today.
PA Stephanie began her clinical career in internal medicine and gynecology, where her curiosity and dedication to her patients sparked a growing interest in dermatology. Recognizing a consistent need among her patients for expert skin care, she immersed herself in the specialty, training alongside respected dermatologists—including a fellowship-style mentorship under a Mohs surgeon. By 2001, she committed fully to dermatology and has since built a career known for clinical excellence, diagnostic precision, and patient trust.
PA Stephanie offers a full spectrum of dermatology care — including medical, surgical, and cosmetic services. She is particularly meticulous in skin cancer screenings, ensuring that every area, even those not typically exposed to the sun, is thoroughly examined. Her diagnostic expertise also extends to autoimmune conditions, infections, and complex skin disorders.
A lifelong learner, PA Stephanie views medicine as both a calling and a privilege. She stays at the forefront of dermatologic science, continually researching new treatments and collaborating with a trusted network of specialists to provide a team-based, holistic approach when needed.
In cosmetic dermatology, PA Stephanie believes in enhancing one’s natural features, not altering them. Her goal is to help patients look refreshed, confident, and authentically themselves.
Outside of the clinic, PA Stephanie is devoted to her family, her career, and her love of horses. She shares her time with her husband, daughter, and her beloved horse, Blueberry—a reminder that joy, balance, and passion enrich every part of life.
