Advanced Training & Oncologic Perspective

Dr. Decker completed fellowship training in Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology at Cooper University Hospital as part of the MD Anderson Cancer Center Network. During her tenure, she established a multidisciplinary high-risk cutaneous oncology clinic and led a monthly multidisciplinary skin cancer tumor board, collaborating closely with specialists in:

  • Medical oncology
  • Radiation oncology
  • Head and neck surgery
  • Pathology
  • Radiology

This multidisciplinary experience informs an oncology-driven approach to complex skin cancer management grounded in margin control, long-term outcomes, and coordinated care.

Indications for Referral

Referrals are welcomed for routine and complex skin cancer cases, including when in-house Mohs surgery is not available. Cases that may benefit from referral include:

"Infographic outlining common skin cancer cases that may benefit from Mohs surgery referral, including recurrent tumors, high-risk skin cancers, complex head and neck tumors, immunocompromised patients, infiltrative tumors, and select melanoma cases.
