Yuliya has been an integral part of Southern Marin Dermatology since 2015, when she first joined as a Patient Coordinator. Over the years, she has held multiple roles across the practice, steadily advancing into leadership and earning the trust of both patients and team members. In 2025, she was named Practice Manager—a role that draws on her deep institutional knowledge, business acumen, and meticulous attention to detail.

Yuliya studied Business Communication and Foreign Languages, building a strong foundation that complements her extensive experience in medical billing and healthcare operations—key to ensuring a seamless patient experience and efficient practice management.

With nearly a decade of experience in dermatology, Yuliya brings a unique blend of administrative precision and clinical understanding to the practice. She works closely with providers, staff, and patients to uphold the highest standards of care, support, and service. Her leadership is marked by operational excellence and a genuine commitment to patient-centered care.

When she’s not tending to the ever evolving needs of SMD, Yuliya enjoys tending her garden, swimming, and spending time in nature.

Carole has been working as an aesthetic RN in dermatology since 1995. She has expertise in the use of over 20 laser and light based devices as well as other aesthetic modalities including injectables. Her goal is to help people look and feel their very best. Carole earned her BSN from Dominican University and her MSN in Adult and Geriatric Nursing from Purdue University. She enjoys giving back to her Alma Mater, Dominican University, where she serves as an Adjunct Professor in the nursing department. Carole was born and raised in Marin County and loves the beautiful weather, gorgeous scenery and friendly people. She shares this joy with her husband, 3 children, 2 dogs and a parrot.

Antoinette joined SMD in August 2023 as a Medical Assistant. She went to San Francisco State University for Pre-Nursing and completed a Medical Assisting program at CALRegional Fairfield. Prior to working at SMD, she was a Starbucks Barista in Benicia, CA for 4 years. She was born and raised in the Bay Area. In her free time, Antoinette enjoys going on long car rides, singing, and going out to eat. Antoinette lives in Vallejo with her boyfriend and beautiful baby girl.

Evita joined SMD in January 2022 as Operations Manager. She has 15 years of customer service experience and brings a wealth of knowledge about cosmetic treatments, having worked for several renowned Plastic Surgeons in San Diego, Seattle, and San Francisco as both a Medical Assistant and Patient Coordinator. Evita has a passion for providing exceptional care and loves educating patients on the amazing benefits of our SMD skincare through email newsletters and social media. She recently graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Audiences and Mass Media Communication. When not working, Evita enjoys painting, playing her ukelele, and watching sunsets at beautiful Ocean Beach.

As a bay area native, Giselle has a dedication to serving our community which is shown in her excellent work ethic. After working for 2 years in surgery scheduling, she joined our team in 2023 because of her interest and love for skincare. In her free time, she enjoys make-up and baking delicious Flan with her mother. She is artistic, creative and you can always find her with a new SMD skincare product or lip gloss in her hand.

Hannah is an aspiring doctor with a fervent interest in dermatology. She became a valued member of the SMD team in 2024, following her graduation from UCLA with a B.S. in Physiological Science. With a solid foundation built through extensive volunteering in clinical and hospital environments and hands-on dermatology research, Hannah plays a crucial role in supporting our clinical staff. A Marin native, she enjoys reading, surfing, hiking with her dog, and exploring new destinations in her free time.

Jessenia joined SMD in January 2025 as a Medical Assistant. She has always believed patients deserve empathetic bedside manners in order to help them feel more comfortable and optimized care. She has almost 3  years of experience in Dermatology, with a focused specialty in assisting in dermatologic surgery. Prior, she has 10 years of customer service throughout her time of attending undergraduate school. She attended CSU East Bay & obtained her B.S. in Health Sciences, May 2022. As a Bay Area native, her free time consists of outdoor adventures, taking care of her pets, & traveling while her goal is to advance her skills further in preparation for nursing school in the future.

Kris joined our office in 2015 as a front office receptionist. Kris brings more than 25 years of experience to SMD; she has worked in doctors’ offices all over Marin County. Kris grew up in Marin and graduated from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley. In her free time, Kris likes to read, hike and eat at all of the wonderful restaurants the area has to offer.

Lily joined SMD in 2022 as a Medical Assistant and Scribe. She graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a dual degree in Public Health and Human Integrative Biology. She has an array of healthcare and research experience, ranging from working as a Research Assistant at UCSF to volunteering as a registered EMT and medical interpreter. Lily is an aspiring physician, with a passion for Family Medicine and primary care. She was born in New York and raised in San Francisco. In her free time, Lily enjoys surfing, photography, and exploring new eats around the Bay Area.​

Liz has been a certified Medical Assistant since 2019 and joined SMD in 2023. She loves makeup and cosmetics, and recently became a licensed Esthetician providing her with a deeper understanding of skincare. Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Liz now enjoys spending time with her husband in Marin and going to the gym.

Mae joined SMD in 2024 as a patient coordinator and has since become a licensed esthetician. With a passion for skincare, she actively seeks to expand her knowledge and stay updated on the latest industry trends. Outside of her professional pursuits, Mae is a dedicated mom to her daughter. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and cherishing moments with family and friends.

Marbella joined SMD in 2020 as a Patient Coordinator. Due to her extensive knowledge of our front office operations and commitment to patient care, she was promoted to Lead Patient Coordinator in 2023. Prior to working at SMD, she worked in patient care at a senior living facility for 6 years. She was born and raised in the Bay Area. In her free time, Marbella enjoys going on bicycle rides in her neighborhood and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Nancy joined SMD in October of 2022. Her warm nature and big smile is valued by her peers and our patients, alike. With over 10 years of experience working in medical offices, she really shines at our front desk and is full of knowledge on health insurances and billing. Originally from Philly, she has been in the Bay Area for 8 years and loves singing, hiking, puzzles, and reading.

Selene joined SMD in August 2023 after living for many years in San Diego. While she began her career as a pharmacy technician, she shortly found a passion for Dermatology and worked in both a private practice and hospital setting. If you choose to speak to our clinical staff on our phone tree, you will most likely be greeted by Selene. With 10 years of experience working in healthcare, Selene is able to utilize her customer service experience and medical knowledge to act as the liaison between the back office and patients. When not in the office, Selene enjoys exploring the bay area with her dog Frida, checking out live music, and being out in nature. She’s also a big foodie!
